You’re there when I need you,

My hand to hold

When I’m scared of what’s new,

And need to be told

That what I’m afraid of now,

Is really nothing at all

And I’ll master my fears,

With my head held tall

Sometimes I’ll fail,

And fall flat on my face

Actually more often than not,

Because of my haste

But you pick me up,

And i eventually learn

I just hope I’ll be ready,

When it’s finally my turn

To lead and to guide,

My sons the exact same way

In hope that they’ll,

Be as successful one day

But it’s not easy,

That much is true

My sons would be lucky,
