I can feel the dead creep into my head

Lying below me they cry and they scream

Leaving the living with no place to be

Many years ago I would have never known

Empathy or compassion or the light that you’ve shown

Passionate words imprint in my mind

Leaving my memories caught up and entwined

Easier to die than live alone and cry
