A girl has a scary nightmare just before she goes Trick-Or-Treating on Halloween.

The time has come
For the hand of night
To grasp my breath
And give me fright
Now off it goes
To wave them out
By forest and grave
A beckoning shout
Was that a ghost
That I just saw?
Pass by my side
right through straw!
The dreadful yet
Makes me ponder
It’s crazy hour
No longer yonder
I rush home faster
My bag forgotten
Trick-Or-Treating
has turned rotten
Dark shadows leap
And headstones shift
No reason to stop
To watch them lift
I halt in terror
As right before me
A half toothless face
Rose with glee
I keep on the run
To the left and right
Trying to avoid
Zombies in flight
Decaying fingers
Just miss my cloak
Then take my bag
Like it’s all a joke
A witch flys by
On an old broom
Whispering a tale
Of impending doom
I just make it home
And through the door
When I wake up
On my bedroom floor
I laughed at myself
That surreal between
Had been a dream
A hit~from Halloween
