This is a poem about humans cutting down rainforests and causing animals to lose their homes.
The river flowed quickly through the forest.
The trees swayed up top.
The ground wanderers hunted pray.
The waterfalls dropped their waters.
The rocks had rolled away.
The ducks quacked their way,
Through the currents of the beautiful river.
The flowers blossomed that day.
The potters slapped their clay.
The trees were beginning to fade.
The houses were beginning to appear.
The animals lost their way,
From their homes which had been taken away.
They would pray,
“Oh please stop this day”.
They would say,
There’s no hope today.
Soon they would lose their hopes,
Of surviving that dreadful year,
With no home.
