Keep walking.
Show respect to what you overcame, release the stress on your legs and kneel.
Think about the time when you thought you were brittle and weak.
Remember the way inferiority would make you feel.
Reminisce on the time when you decided to turn the other cheek.
That strength, that got you from point A to point B
Existed within you this whole time.
It took a lot of blows to the head to get you to see.
That you could take this world over, line after line.
You were never soft, you just needed motivation.
Needed some identity, a folder in the files
Now everyone tunes into your own station.
And you’ve got your own style.
When you lose sight, keep your damn head high.
You’ve endured too much to lose.
It’s too late to cry.
You started this journey with intent to finish it, keep on those big boy shoes.
