I wore my new boots today Mario
I traipsed back and forth through the snow
My feet were warm they didn’t get wet
So I just wanted to let you know.

Because at first I was embarrassed
But then I saw that your eyes were sincere
It still touches my heart and tears my eyes
That to you it seemed, something so mere.

I also want to Thank You
For such kindness you’ve shown me
I still can’t believe you would do such a thing
But then again there’s more I see.

I hear you do an awful lot for the Church which is nice
To Edgar you’re a Saint for sure
And in the few times I have met you
You’ve been happy with a son and a woman you adore.

I guess I just want to say Thank You!
