To avoid kindness is a curse to know when to accept it is a blessing.
A kind soul once knocked at my door
However there was no one home
It knocked again in hope I would open up
But still its reply went unanswered
It walked around my body’s house to search for an opening
I lay still and cold and did not want to be bother
The kind soul cries and yells my name
My response was still the same
I did not wish to feel joy and pleasure
I did not want to entertain this treasure
A kind soul did not offer what I need
So I ignored it attempt to provide relief
This story is sad but must be told
That many of us avoid what is good for the soul
I welcome the offering of a kind soul now
To live by this standard until I grow old
