An observance.

On a bright warm day a ladybird settled

on a man’s knee.

A happy sight to see,

To see.

Memories of a day spent on the

pathway of Camels Back.

A bottle of coke knocked back

And once again, the ladybird was there to see,

To see.

Clouded in a veil, is she, who once was

On the pathway of Camels Back

Where far off snow capped peaks of the Himalayas

Emptied the heart and filled it

With wonder and the ladybird was there to see,

To see.

An astrologer took notes of a man’s destiny

A woman knitted in silence

A ring changed to another finger

The air was filled with magic

And the ladybird was there to see,

To see.

Heavenly chariots took to the skies

For a man and woman to ride out

Their destiny.

They still search heavenly avenues

And the ladybird was there to see,

To see.

Nicely written. Sounds like happily ever after. I didn’t know lady bugs could do that.

I like the rhythm and the refrain.

I agree with Ken, “sounds like a happily ever after” hehe, another great poem.

    2 thumbs up!
