Legends.

The Roman legionaries fought under Vespasian and Titus’s unyielding laws,

They carried with them proud traditions, legends, from the Punic and Gallic Wars,

But now the soldiers had superior amour, better than their forebearers, had ever seen,

So now they seemed invincible, more now, then they had ever been.

Segmented metal plates made by armour smiths was used upon their vest,

A small sword, the gladius, a dagger and a javelin with a shield across the chest,

The helmet had evolved , it included a neck-guard that ducktailed down the nape,

A removeable crest of yellow horsehair, adorned their breast ,with a flowing crimson cape.

As they marched past their fellow countrymen these, the best soldiers ever made,

Any command, be it right or wrong, true or false a legionare, without question obayed.
