You must always be your own best friend.

I will always be okay
Come what may

Bring your storms,
Bring your enemies
I can survive through the most treacherous of seas
I am prepared

My senses are now sharpened
I understand more
After you think someone’s your friend
But they show their true colors in the end

You can only grow stronger
You can only stand taller

A fairytale fantasy does exist
But only when you truly follow your intuition
You can’t question a single part of it

You must trust yourself, love you like no other
You must treat all mankind like they are your ally
And colorblind brother

But, you must turn your cheek if your well being is threatened
You must care for your life like you would a best friend
A daughter, a precious child
You must retain your inner tranquility, your demeanor mild

Learn from those who would do you harm
Keep your senses alert, grab a shield and coat of arms

But leave a tender door open
For those who truly come with best intentions
And genuinely want to be your friend.
