This is me versus my worst nightmare. it was tough, it was bloody and I came out a survivor.

While having dinner one Saturday eve,

I heard the sound of someone chewing;

I said to myself, since i was alone

“Oh girl you must be starving”.

I finished my meal and washed up after,

And then I laid down to relax;

Believe you me,

I heard it again!

Not my farting sounds but the chewing ones;

As fast as lightening,

Or a stealthy thief;

I equipped myself,

With weapons of war;

“Come out, come out, wherever you are”,

I taunted my unseen intruder;

“Tell me who or what you are,

Before I find out who or what you were”;

Silence,

More silence…..

A scurry of feet and then,

There in the middle of the room,

Was a very tiny mouse!

Relieved that it was nothing bigger,

Proceeding to harm the creature was me;

It turned to flee, then stopped midway,

To take a good look at me I think;

Before I could think what the f@*%!,

The hunter became the hunted;

As I ran past sound to save my life,

i tried to think why roles reversed;

It came to me,

Just as squeaky did;

That my weapon of war,

Was more cheese for it.
