A Poem Of Good Humor…

” A Little Black Whisker “

I woke up this morning and had to pout

when I looked in the mirror and gave a shout

my eyes bugged open with a shocking surprise

as my daughter came running by hearing my cries.

I blinked once, twice and many times yet

and it was still there this you can bet

long, curly and black, it was so out of place

right in the middle of my pretty soft face.

This whisker was growing on my soft skin

begging and pleading to see it again

sticking straight out just below my grin

A Little Black Whisker was under my chin.

One thing to know, I am just a young lady

I am not even close to my grandma’s 80’s

I work so hard to stay fit and thin

and now I am growing this hairy chin.

My daughter laughed and then she roared

yawning a sigh while looking so board

she yanked and pulled with my tweezers

so her mommy won’t feel like and old geezer.

I picked up the phone and called my big sis

to see about some waxing or even electrolysis

she said to me that I was acting real scary

its kind of funny because big sis is real hairy.

Now I am not sure if I’ll sleep tonight

this hair is quite freaky and not a good sight

now I am thinking thoughts that are weird

I could wake up and have a full beard.

Somehow I will survive this catastrophe

just how bad could shaving really be

to reassure myself this don’t happen again

my nifty tweezers are now my best friend…
