Living isn’t easy nowadays

The world a scary place

And people are becoming frightened.

Stress is rising

And the media pushes the fear like a drug.

But think about it.

When has life been any easier to live?

When has the world been free of war?

Of poverty or disease?

So far, never in my lifetime.

So, we suck it up

And go on

As we always have.

Thumbing our noses at the media

At the fear mongers

And say life is beautiful, just as it always has been.

The air is sweet,

The mountains blue

The water powerful and healing.

No worries today

We’re alive.

We can overcome the fear

By taking someone else’s hand

And raising them up.

We’ll all get through this

Together

Just as we always have.

One step at a time

One day at a time

Life is good.
