You can not wake up from reality no matter how hard you try.
The doors closed, there were no windows
Scraped palms, knees and elbows
climbing mountains far too high
I fear that I’ve run out of time
One bad day can cause the crawling
Any good lie will induce the bawling
Sadness that demands attention
the screams for help we will not mention
It is too late my voice is shot
My pleas for help were all forgot
All I ask is you lend an ear
To intake the words that suffocate me here
Do you know what it is to lay awake
To beg the lord my soul to take
I do not want death I need peace
In this life of misery I need release
Hitting the bottom will surely break me
Is there anything to foresake me
If only I could discover inspiration
Rather than living in fear, darkness and humiliation
here come the walls closing in tight
There is no way I will win the fight
Out with the bright and in with the dark
The flame in my soul is merely a spark
My eyes open it was only a dream
Thankfully I can silence the scream
unfortunately sadness always remains inside
A good actress with a smile can hide
Nobody cares because nobody knows
I welcome another day with the weight of my woes
