Joke or no joke, a lump of coal in your stocking at Christmas sucks.

What were you thinking Mom and Dad

on that one Christmas when you stuck

a lump of coal inside my red stocking?

Joke or no joke, that really sucked and

put the zap into a five-year-old.

    A lump of coal at age 5 is rough. I can see it for 10-12 year old.

    You make me feel guilty now as I once did the same to my two boys one year when they had really been playing up, but when they rushed out of the bedroom they found their full stockings outside their door. They thought it was a good joke.

    You mean some people actually did put cole into the Christmas stockings? I have heard about but I thought it was only in stories!
