Getting married is not the only game in town. So a pregnant woman discovered as she was taking her marriage vows to a swinger. An event ensued that forced her to swallow her pride and get out of this relationship.
As a child I love
Dolls and baby houses
For little people
- – -
As I grew
I learned to play
Mommy, daddy
And doctors on call
- – -
My dream was
To be married
And I was full of pride
- – -
Like many women
I wished and prayed
For the right man
To come along
- – -
I’m talking
About a gentleman
Who loves me
That would be
Marriage material
- – -
When I couldn’t find
Such a person
I settled for someone
That embarrassed
The hell out of me
- – -
Fred was a swinger
A ladies man
And was known
For having affairs
- – -
On many occasions
I threaten to leave
He would beg
That I forgive his indiscretions
- – -
Through these ups and downs
I became red in the face
With disgust and anger
- – -
With my pride
I couldn’t let go
Since we were to be married
And I was going
To have his baby
- – -
What broke the camel’s back
Was when Shelia
One of his flames
Showed up at our wedding
And made a scene
- – -
I blushed and blushed
In horror
Not knowing what to do
Nor say
- – -
Fred is gone now
I had to swallow my pride
And realize
That getting married
Isn’t the only game
In town
