A tribute to the power of the sun. No matter what it does, we wait with bated breath for sunrise.

Skin tingles with your touch,

Warm memories release,

You carry me to another place,

I absorb your peace.

Your temper, fierce,

Life withers beneath your rage,

The flame’s alight, burning

Destroying life’s ancient age.

I feel the coldness of your heart,

when you close your door,

And so I wait until your rays of light,

Flood my heart once more.

It’s funny how we may feel the neglect with the arrival of nightfall–perhaps the inner sadness that it symbolizes the day we can never retrieve. Very nicely done, my dearest.

Glynis, this is beautiful! I love the “… your rays of light flood my heart once more” lines. There’s nothing like sunrise, a new dawn, a new day, a new hope, a new opportunity to live. So nicely expressed here. Well done!

I seldom see the sun rise here now its up hours before I am. I am so glad for spring, I need the sun because I have seasonal affected disorder from lack of sun in the winter.

I am an early riser, but even the sun beats me in these spring/summer mornings. I love it!

I’m sure that over there in Cyprus you get more than your fair share of sun, so thanks for putting a bit of your sunshine into this poor Brit’s life.

I simply *love* the sun, which is a shame since we forget what it looks like here in cold, cloudy Enland. My eyes hurt looking at your picture. I wonder how you managed to take it.

You certainly have the power of the sun behind your writing Glynis, and the photo shows it is with you multi talents.
