Poem:

Senses differentiate

               animals from humans,

triggering good and evil,

                 love and hate,

healing, afflicting,

                  creating, destroying,

deciding our future

                   destiny and fate.

We can do or undo

                    our freedom of living;

we can espouse virtue

                      or indulge in vice,

and rightly assume

                       to be gentle and nice;

we can raise ourselves

                         to the level of kings,

or mess with wrongdoings –

                           undesirable things;

we can use our feelings

                             to help and sustain,

allay the severity.

                              and sharpness of pain,

depending on senses

                                 to which we react,

the sum total of which

                                  is a matter of fact.
