Shadows of a menagerie
Confusion retains my soul within
Struggling to release my sin
Fighting for each solemn breath
With God I’ll fight to my very death
Racing to conquer this blustering fear
Oh Lord my God be forever near
Deep within my mind I see
A fading gray menagerie
The wild roar is ceasing still
Glorious healing meeting God’s will
Clouds of guilt seep with light
All of me is in God’s sight
No more bellowing menagerie
Infinite peace has set me free
