An old poem.

A million ears lay on the ground,

Searching to find what can never be found.

The eyes of the dark shadow are ever lurking,

Staring into ourselves, their scars everlasting.

“For our protection” they claim with their crooked smiles,

But is it worth our honor shamed and our souls defiled.

The world now shrinks as their grasp tightens,

Yet still we lie, their crimes soon forgotten.

Where is our justice? Where is our honor?

Have they all been lost within this horror?!

We could stop the monster, if it be our will,

Yet apathy, sweet apathy is the sole cause of our ill.
