I enjoy visiting my friend Jeanne’s farm. She fashioned this rustic garden bench from some leftover wood they had. I can look at pictures I’ve taken from my many visits there and feel relaxed and refreshed. Do you have similar memories?

Come,

Sit with me a spell

It’s a beautiful day

Are you feeling well?

Are your children happy?

Are your bills all paid?

Is your home dusted

And your beds all made?

And tomorrow

When you arise again

Will your daily chores

Begin again?

Does the dusting stop

And not accumulate?

If you dust each day

And never wait?

Come,

Rest a moment

Let’s take a spell

To enjoy nature

And wish each other well.

Sister, you’ve expressed your poem beautifully. Perhaps, we all should stop for a while to ponder upon some good memorable events. Thanks. I clicked you “liked it”.

This poem is a comfort to read, the sort of thing you would read with a cup of coffe in the quiet of an early, sunny morning.

Nobert, the spirit needs renewed from time to time and spending time with friends and nature is a wonderful way to do that. In Michigan it will soon be cold and we will not want to sit outside and visit.

Thank you Nobert, Liane and Valli for your kind words.

    Take care & God bless.
