Verbalizing the emotion and thoughts of a moment.
When the storm really hits it gets hard to tell
the difference between the rain and your tears
and then, of course, there is no difference.
The sky parallels your own apathy and breaks down
with you; it’s clouds shatter into millions of icy drops
that beat against the mournful trees and people.
Cleansing and pure and filled with cold indifference,
Like the awesome wrath of the ancient deities;
Crash on me now, pull me down and lift me up,
This moment is forever fleeting, eternally emotional.
Here in my own destruction I stand and cry
And nature bends its distant plans to my
Terrible sadness.
In that second I was everything, the whole world forced to witness
As I painted the new earth in deep mysterious strokes.
