We may be resisting change by desperately clinging to something or some event which may not be in our best interest now. Can we embrace what is and wait for a new beginning?

The gentle tapping of yesterdays raindrops

Against the glass

Changed suddenly throughout the night

The morning view tells a tale in white

Of a frenzied wind

Bringing fresh spring snow

Which has fallen upon the grass

It would seem, one can not trust the state

Of the atmosphere

To perform its dependable duty

April is the month that should bring rain showers

That would then produce May flowers

Not the wet white flakes

That are now falling here

And what of the foliage upon the trees which

They recently displayed?

New spring outfits of contrasting shades of green

How will they fare with this new change?

In their colourful costumes will they still be seen?

Or will this impromptu quirk of weather

Cause them stress and leave them dismayed?

Winter reappears and gives the impression it is not ready

To give up

And release our earth from its frigid grasp

By allowing the change that spring

Must eventually bring

Can we take a lesson from the climate

That continually has its arms wrapped around us?

When it seems to warn that the events to which

We desperately cling

May not be in our best interest now

So embrace what is, ride out the storm

Maybe tomorrow the weather will turn

And once again allow us a glimpse

Of a new beginning with the coming of Spring
