2010 is a year to mark on the calendars. The winter Olympic games will take place in Vancouver one of the most modern cities of Canada. Vancouver is the major town of the province of British Columbia. This last province has borders with China, Russia and the United States of America. British Columbia is also known for its mineral resources like nickel which is also found in large quantities in New Caledonia a French territory in Asia. So, history is important because British Columbia in Canada is the province where most of the native populations live and for that reason it is a success which shows the integration of native populations in Canada. There are still some issues for instance to recognize traditional medicine which is still available in pharmacies but still considered as over the counter. Therefore, the historians should know that they are writing history for a nation at not for themselves because many times they give the impression of being frustrated. As a historian you must know that you have to respect the private lives of others and make sure you understand for example.
