Haiku is the appreciation of the little things, delighting in the small moments that occur. Words that pithily paint a picture, capturing a moment in time. These are my pitiful attempts of a misused and most misunderstood form of poetry.

Frozen icicles,

Dripping wet from the sun’s kiss -

Awakening spring.

A black cat lies still -

Suddenly, he pounces quick,

Upon the snowflakes.

Hi Lady Sunshine, there’s nothing pitiful about these beautiful haiku’s, they are written so beautifully, how could there be.
