Another Vampire Tale.

As the vampire stood,

he felt good,

looking out over the city

at night,

night creatures he would pity,

there were a few broken street lights,

and bats soaring

across a patch of sky,

lumbering rats

rumbled through the streets,

hiding from hungry cats,

on a hill overlooking the town,

the vampire could make out

a dark shape,

it was fate,

and without anything else to say,

he pounced,

and the dark image became prey.

I like these recent birds of prey themes. Kind of reminds me of human nature but the birds reacte out of necessity in contrast to the humans urges to prey on the weak and innocent out of pure malice not necessity. Great themes here bub. Thumbs up!
