A sow and a boar walking down a narrow path.
A sow and a boar, walking down a narrow path,
Fell into a ditch and now had to take a bath.
“You clean yourself first,” said the strong and mighty boar,
“I’ll walk for a while and buy shampoo from the store.”
The sow said, “Okay, I’ll be waiting for you here.
But before I forget, could you please buy me some beer?”
“Of course, said the boar, “Anything for you, my sweet,
Just stay here, okay? This is where we two will meet.”
So the boar went ahead, walking straight toward the store,
But the shopkeeper there smashed his head against the floor.
Oh poor pig, he’ll be killed and then cooked for them to eat,
He’d be crying and shouting and suff’ring from the heat.
The sow now was clean and she waited for her love,
But then all she got was a message from a dove.
“He’s gone,” said the bird, “but has something to tell you.
He said these last words before diving in the stew:
‘Darling pig, I love you,’ This was all he had to say,
For the chef got his heart and his lungs without delay.”
And with that, piggy cried; she could not believe her ears,
Running down from her eyes were a hundred million tears.
Her poor heart was so sad, just like one abandoned tree,
All the pain in the world, they were all that she could see.
And she knew deep inside, all here happy days were done,
For the one that she loved deeply was already gone.
