I like to write these happy songs

But I’ve been waiting for so long

I need some person who can write

Music for me and the notes be right

Country and Western style is the mode

The lyrics I have written are quite a load

If I said I wrote them today then I’ve lied

It is some time ago when this I last tried

Music and lyrics do please me so

It is C & W with gospel for me that go

I’m not religious nor a Godly saint

Being that good would make me faint

I need a genuine collaborator to help

These past written lyrics explained how I felt

Styles of writing is so expressive

At no time at all is my writing permissive

A 50/50 split on all copyright receipts

Is a fair enough arrangment for us each to keep

I would welcome any form of enquiry

Then arrangments can go into my diary

It can be much fun to try and succeed

So to able audiences for this I do plead

Having had some experience back in the past

This time let’s see if we can make it all last.
