A dark poem of suicide.
Image via Wikipedia
I’m drawing lines in the sand
As beacons of my pain
They’re pathways untarnished by the rain
And I turn and lift my hand…
I’m calling on the gods of death
To follow these paths to me
I stand at the midpoint for them to see
As I offer my last breath
“Converge, converge,
And take away my sorrow
Crush me into the dust of tomorrow
For this heartache I cannot purge!”
By now love you have forgotten me
So my face you shall not miss
But I cannot forget your every kiss
As I bleed under the willow tree…
