A poem about War.

War Means death, destruction, despair
War Means bombing, shooting, explosions beyond wonder
War Means sorrow, sadness,
War Means guns, tanks, boats, submarines,
War Means blood, surgery, transplants,
War Means confusion, madness,
War Means occupation, invasion, territory
War Means when there are two sides, two parties fighting it out until the bitter end.
War Means different battlefields, trenches, sea, air, land, forest.
War Means many soldiers fighting each other at arms,
War Means expenses, heavy investing, loss
War Means patriotism, propoganda, nationalism
War Means biological warfare, nuclear warfare, chemical warfare, space warfare….
War Means civil war, a world war,

It only ends until one or the other surrenders, or is vanquished all together
Only then will peace return once more,
We can’t say how long it will last,
I say the time of peace for some is even worse than war.

What a poignant observation, I’ve never witnessed that observation before. I find it interesting.
