A short poem for the summer season.
Summer heat glistens,
A mirage on the
Stretch of asphalt road.
Lingering in tangible air
The sun sends rays upon us
Searing flesh red and brown.
Ice cream rivers flow
Over children’s hands.
Drops of paradise.
