This is a Poem that I wrote for President Obama.

He’s the first Black President of the USA they all say! Now let’s see if he can save the day!  Some said “a Black President, I rather go to hell, and oh, by the way, I hope he fails”!

First I heard, “he’s moving to slow”, next I heard, “he’s moving too fast and will not last”.  Your every move is criticized no matter how hard you try.  Why, you can’t even swat a fly!

I watch your hair quickly turn to gray and watch your smile slowly fade away.  The last to go will probably be your cool as you try to prove to the world that you are no fool.

I wish you had come along a little sooner, your heart really seem to be in the right place, never giving up until you won the race.  You want to bring about Change, what a heavy task you’ve undertaken, thinking this will fix all our problems, how sadly you are mistaken.

Seems to me Mr. President your hands are really full and you are juggling quite a few balls, trying to keep a system standing prophetically destined to fall.

Could it be we waited too long, thinking we were oh so strong, to extend a hand, to right the wrong.  Now here we stand, all battered and bruised, trying to recover after being badly used.

I don’t know but I feel our own fate we sealed.  We chose to lead and a better world try to make, so why is it us all others seem to hate?

But please Mr. President, do not despair, for the time will soon come and all will be healed as we sit back and watch Prophecy fulfill.
