I used to watch "Get Smart" a lot.
agreed type casting can be a double edged sword.
I saw the movie, the guy wasn't bad
still Adams will always be Agent 86 and his death made me very sad.

Does anyone remember the TV program "Don Adams' Screen Test?" He would bring participants from the live studio audience on-stage to rehearse briefly in short a chosen short 'classic' movie skits ("Robin Hood", etc.), then in costume, they PERFORMED these roles for the audience whom then voted upon the merit of 'acting skills' learned in the previous few minutes... The 'winner(s)' would then move-on to a REAL studio screen test, to chance to be in a movie or commercial!

A fitting tribute would be to see if anyone whom got that far actually BECAME a known actor due to this show...
-Sounds like a job for "History Detectives."
