Little poem of mine,

recite your way

into a heart sadly

broken today.

Little poem of mine,

uplift a soul,

lost in confusion,

far from its role.

Explain away sorrow,

banish fear

strengthen weakness,

wipe off a tear.

Kindle a spirit,

sorely neglected,

quicken acceptance

of a soul rejected.

Lift up the fallen,

with words of love,

That it may invoke

His Mercy above.

Let pain and sorrow

go away in time,

and memory remain

eternal, sublime.

Each word that bears

sincerity in it,

may help reignite

the sputtering spirit.
