To seek is to strive.

And to strive is to achieve…

To achieve is to excel.

And to excel is to inspire…

To inspire is to enlighten.

And to enlighten is to ascend.

Yet to first seek,

We must find a path.

Though what path we take,

Be only our choice.

Each choice has an outcome.

Each outcome has a price.

The prices we pay,

In turn have consequences.

Positive? or negative?

Depends on the mind.

Yet the state of the mind,

Relies on emotion.

Emotion is a constant,

Comprised of many facets.

All facets have meaning.

The view of that meaning,

Creates an individual.

And individuals, we all are.

Thus being individuals,

Our opinions can conflict.

Conflict ends in barriers,

And barriers block paths.

Yet to block one path,

We in turn open new ones.

Hence seeming an endless cycle,

Causing us to forever seek.

And so in always seeking,

Can we ever honestly ascend?

Or is just an illusion, of our own design?

From which only we, can set ourselves free.
