Hot Hot Hot
It’s Hot today
Ninety seven degrees
And the sun’s not going away.

The sky holds a few clouds
But mostly it’s blue
The air’s heavy and still
With an occasional breeze blowing through.

But it’s very, very hot
Still muggy from yesterday
That came after rain
That came down all day.

Though the day’s still good for me
As this month I’m feeling great
I’m giving more time to work
Than time to contemplate.

I still need things to move a bit faster
Even just half as fast as the weeks
For each day I’m more anxious and confident
That I’ll soon see Victory peaks.

And once things ‘take off’ I’m confident
That I’ll have better than all I dream for
Then I know I’ll be the happiest person alive
As I help others to also have more.
