A Red Rose This Valentine’s Day

A single red rose expressing a husband’s love for his wife.

A red rose, sits in my hand
Like a gem, I treasure
A humble gift to a wonderful woman
For a special reason, time can’t even measure.

A voiceless witness that will proclaim
A matchless love my heart holds.
Forever, a love sets aflame
Until my eyes folds.

If only I can claim richness and fame
I will offer you red roses each day.
For you to realize, my heart is in shame
For all the dire things I do and say.

Sadly, I’m a meek pauper
Just a single red rose to offer
To express how I love my wife
Today and for the rest of my life.
