What is success?

My headache pounds me as I try not to stress
My child like anticipation of facing another test
I strive for perfection can’t accept nothing less
But hardships come constantly like unannounced guest
I’m no longer a straggler on this road named success
Advancing from the rear to be known as the best
I could carry the world on my shoulders just like I’m atlas
No I want the top so that would be backwards
Learned the game with little time for me to practice
Rose through the ranks engrave my name on the blacklist
I heard that this success was a sweet as sugar and honey
Well my satisfaction comes from diamonds and money
Spawned from envy another malicious agenda
Blood born champion so I’m defeating my contenders
Others took shortcuts but they got cut short
I’m way too smart to believe corrupt thoughts
I knew success was on the road I traveled
I once heard a fool say that it can’t be valued
I need a mansion and a car so to me that’s babble
If Success is what you make it why is mine so Taboo
Ah I found it after searching high and low
No ones here with me so no one will ever know

Wow, this sounds familiar. A wonderfully presented and written piece. Welcome to Triond
