Is your Jerusalem ruined for neglect on your part? Better to have no regrets when it comes to those little ones watching you!
“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54:1
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7
A man has sinned against the laws of home.
Night after night, from his children he is gone.
None of the glad companionship they had,
None of the sacred ties that make him Dad.
The mother cannot supply the needed strength,
Which is the need of that young life at length.
The family grows to sense him not at all,
The love of children gone beyond recall.
The boys, now men, seek pleasures otherwhere.
The girls do find it irksome to be there.
He sees his error, to remedy it tries.
Too late his grave mistake is realized,
By God forgiven; His wife’s love never ceased,
But the sons of his begetting make no peace,
And love is forfeited he’d show to them.
The story of a ruined Jerusalem!
Acts 17:28
