A short poem about the average school day.

In a dreary shuffle of unrecogniseable human beings
A formation that’s lost it’s shape
Forces its way through the darkest hallways
To even darker rooms
The mood is stale and cold
Nothing nice about this crowd
And just when they think
It’s not that bad
A room appears that takes them in
To brainwash their innocent souls
And to corrupt their brains
Then, after hours of suffering and pain
A bell rings
Freedom is there, but not for long
Only until the next school day.
