Wasteland, raving mad, fantasy.
image via Wikipedia
I’ve been a slave to labile emotion
and a wanton craving affection;
a raving obsessive for devotion,
a lunatic for devotion.
Ive devored myself in delusion
and wasted it all in addiction.
I have called life a wasteland;
my mistake to such an illusion.
Cared for few in my self absorption;
raving mad in fantasy of protrusion.
Wondering where my friends had gone
and why into oblivion?
So, self consumed I missed the boat
now row alone or simply float.
Someone threw water upon my head
for fear I’d finally gone stone dead.
That’s what happens in a selfish life;
a shadow shell wrapped up in strife.
