If you were to meet God

would you know what to say

Would you recognize God

would you turn and walk away

Is there a place for God

in your heart

Do you turn to God

only when things are dark

Do you have to go to a building

to feel Gods love

Can you feel Gods love by looking

at the stars above

Is God someone you try to define

put a face to the name

Is it possible that my God and your God

are actually the same

If God is Love why is there so much conflict

about who’s God is right

Throughout history man has used God

as a reason to fight

Do you really know God

or only what you’ve been taught

Is God someone you’ve searched for

his love something you’ve sought

You won’t find God in buildings

but it can be a place to start

If you really want to find God

you’ve got to open up to Love

God is in your heart
