Tried to write a love poem and failed.

Here’s a simple love poem,

To twist and turn your heart.

Missing you is tiresome,

Loving you is an art.

I am made happy,

As your warmth twirls towards me.

I choose my words poorly,

And my actions are clumsy.

This little poem,

Delivered to you by a dove.

Makes me only fit to spasm,

And not deserve your love.

Even if rain ransoms your heart,

I will pay with my soul.

Even if loneliness plays its part,

I will let hugs take their toll.

As I write,

Seconds fly like years.

Should we fight or flight,

As our time nears.

Everyone gets old,

So I write this poem.

Encase ourselves and withhold,

Seeking another outcome.

Never in our lifetime,

Will there be,

A poem written by time,

For you to remember me.
