A poem written while listening to classical music during a winter storm.
two things
independent of each other
coming together
a sweet musical song of
spring and life plays
while the ghastly violent
and harsh winter’s wind
bangs against the windows
I can feel the trees shaking
in my bones as dissonance sounds
notes clashing like the soft trumpets
and the hale on the rooftops
until for a single moment
the wind begins to cease
allowing the soft piano to be heard
the rain is awestruck with joy
the wind begins to howl
but in perfect harmony with the violins
the flute calls to the hail
they dance together in melodic bliss
the tree branches chime in
to complete the winter’s symphony
