A Snowy Day

As she looks out the window at the falling snow, she remembers a day, long, long ago. A day that was much like this one, when they were carefree and young.

A beautiful snowy white wonderland, where they walked together hand in hand. Talking and laughing together, they knew that there was nothing better.

Their hearts were sparkling with new love. A gift, they knew was from God above. Thankful for this beautiful gift, she turned to him and they kissed.

In the snow, on bended knee he knelt before her, and he asked her to be his forever. She smiled at him and she looked into his eyes. So happy to be with him, that she cried.

Without a word , he understands, he stood and he took her hand. He slipped the ring upon her finger, where upon it would always linger.

Then he held her so close in loves embrace, in his arms she felt so loved and so safe. She knew nothing could ever feel better than this, being loved by him was such wonderful bliss.

They both knew that they would never part, so great was the love in their hearts. Many years they would have together, through all eternity, always and forever.

Many years have gone by since that day, they have seen many snowy days. Her hair is now white as the snow, deep wrinkles upon her face have grown.

Now, she turns from the window as he approaches from behind. She smiles at him and she looks into his wrinkled eyes.

She’ s so happy to be with him that she cries. He reaches and gently brushes the tears from her eyes.

Taking her aging hand in his, he smiles at her. His hand slides across the ring on her finger.

To him, she is still as beautiful as she was on that long ago day, when on her finger the ring he placed. He loves every wrinkle upon her face and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Each line upon their faces tells the story of their life together, a beautiful story of love that will live on forever.

They do not long for the days before, their love now, is so much more. Many years of joys and of heartaches they have shared and still this amazing love is there.
