The mask we all wear.

I called you up to say hello
It must of seemed strange and out of sorts at 10pm I know
To hear from the likes of me
But there I was
Telling you about how the world has robbed my coffers
and left me broken down and empty
I said something that came from the heart
About how I missed the feel of you
and you ignored me completely
That hurt me deeply
But I soldiered on
I always soldier on you see
Through it all, I always soldier on

Her loss, sorry to hear that, but perhaps there is something much better waiting around the bend…

I know how it feels to be dismissed like that. To feel so close to someone and to have this overwhelming desire to speak from the heart…even if it seems silly…and to feel your heart drop.

    hugs.
