Just short and sweet.
I’m just standing in my kitchen
With the sun shining in so bright
All around cats are cleaning themselves
As my heart explodes in this day’s delight.
It is and has been absolutely beautiful
I’ve had windows opened wide all day long
With nothing but bird’s singing and peace outside
I know I’m right where I belong.
This whole week is supposed to be glorious
Temps in the 50s even 60s I hear
Such wonderful thoughts for the week ahead
Praying it also means that Spring is really near.
I’m really dying to go outside right now
For just a bit to enjoy the heat of the sun
But no, I’ll be good and wait for now
Cause by Spring I’ll have much more work done.
I just had to take time for mention of such a lovely day
As some things just need to be said
But since I only needed a little break
I’ll get back to work with all these good visions in my head.
