A person has a creative thought for falling asleep.

I can’t fall asleep.

I counted little duckies.

I counted frisky sheep.

I counted bearded elephants.

I can’t fall asleep.

I counted laughing horses.

I counted flying eagles.

I counted weeping tortoises,

I counted naughty beagles.

I counted and I counted

Until my eyes turned red.

But the counting isn’t causing me

To fall asleep in bed.

So I’m quitting all the counting.

I’m just going to shut my eyes,

And pretend that I’ve won the lottery,

Much to my surprise.

With the ten million dollar ticket,

I’ll be able to sleep with ease.

I’ll sink in a golden mattress

Surrounded by serenading trees.
