I felt it needed to be said.
Looking through walls of shattered glass,
You’ll never know if you have to ask.
Nothing will ever be right or wrong,
Just lyrics to another sad song.
Self proposed experts spew their facts
While the ignorant masses turn their backs.
Clip your wings, you’ll never fly,
For sin is now the greatest high.
And the wages of our sin is death
The poison lingering on each breath.
So calm the seas of your endless sorrow,
For every day holds the same tomorrow.
Distorted images blur your vision.
Life has now become a decision.
Take a closer look at yourself;
Chances are you’re someone else.
In this land where nothing’s real,
You cut yourself and pretend to feel
Laughing loud to disguise your face,
A testament to the human race.
