A love poem.

Perhaps we cry so frequently
And are made to long so fiercely
And wonder why we must always be so strong
So that when we’re finally together we’ll never have to do these things again
My darling, I hope this to be true
That’s got to be the reason why I’m sitting here without you

One day
Nightmares won’t find an inch of space in our minds
Only giggles and butterflies will roam in tummies that worries and fears once called home
And if we fight I’m sure it’ll end in a kiss
Trivial things won’t matter once our union exists

What I’m saying, love, is that after so much
Stress
Disappointment
Cursing
Praying
Just getting by
All of this maddening day-by-daying
I will do all that I can to be your
Morning motivation
Mid-day inspiration
Dinner time validation
Bedtime haven

We’ll strive to be the type of couple that everyone wants to be
Who make each other whole and finally get to breathe
One day, baby, things will be better than we both could’ve ever believed
Because we’ll make it so having had so much practice in dreams
